The Five People You Meet in Heaven-Mitch Albom♡

Happy New Year!!! Good day Bibliophiles I promised you this review so here it is. . . I have a new favorite book of all time. This book is more than just a fictional title, this book made me stop and think of all of the interactions I have had with people that I have come into contact with.  The Five People You Meet in Heaven follows the story of an elderly mans life and death. This man goes by the name " Eddie ", often called Eddie Maintenance because of his name tag. Eddie dies while trying to save a little girl at his place of work, and thus starts a journey through Heaven. In his heaven, he meets five people, some strangers, some people he knows very well. These five people teach him lessons and  help him understand the impact he may have had in their lives, and the impact they had on his.  What did we love about it? Mitch Albom is a great writer! I got through this book in three days and this is because I really needed to know who Eddie was going

Letters to the Lost-Brigid Kemmerer

Good Morning Bibliophiles!!! I found it! I loved it! I read it in two days! Bibliophiles this is an amazing book, it gave me a good share of good "feels". There are many themes that are focused on in this book, these themes include grief, the death of a parent, and the repercussions of  alcoholism.  This book introduces you to Declan Murphy a high school student serving community service, and Juliet Young a high school student who has recently lost her mother and finds comfort in writing her mother letters and leaving them at her gravestone. Declan and Juliet cross paths at a cemetery both for different reasons, but these different reasons are what bring these two characters together.  What did we love about it? Can I say that Bridig Kemmerer has been officially been added to my list of favorite authors. . .  its a very short list. I love this authors writing, its very seldom that I will read books from the same author, but after reading both these authors

More Than We Can Tell-Brigid Kemmerer

Good day Bibliophiles!!! As you all know Jennifer Niven's-All the bright Places is my favorite book of all time! The book I'm going to be blogging about today is a close second. More Than We can Tell by Brigid Kemmerer is my close second for many reasons.  lets start with the blurb shall we. . .   Everyday Rev struggles with the memories and demons of the time before he was adopted. He's always managed just fine, until a letter from his birth father brings hellfire, fear and danger back into his life.  Emma escapes her life in an online game she built herself. Virtual reality is so much easier than real life. But then another player joins the game and suddenly ultra-violent threats start to stream in. . . When Rev and Emma meet, they are fighting a darkness they cant put into words. But somehow they hear each other and together they might be able to find a way out. This book touches on quite a few issues that are prevalent in society today, these is

Sunflowers in February-Phyllida Shrimpton

Image by Noluthando Good Day Bibliophiles! Its been while, but I can explain . . . I just could not find a perfect book for while. Ive read a few, but couldn't really finish them and it didn't feel fair to blog about something I hadn't finished. Worry not I have just finished a brilliant book! Sunflowers in February by Phyllida Shrimpton is just the right amount of everything that I have been looking for in a book in the past month. It is made of just the right amount of tragedy, a sprinkle of love and a good amount of adventure.  The blurb reads: Lily wakes up one crisp Sunday morning on the side of the road . She has no idea how she got there.  It is only when the police car arrives,  and she sees her own body, that she realises that she is in fact... dead. But nobody can see or hear her, however hard she tries. So what is she supposed to do next? Then Lily is given a once-in-a-deathtime opportunity. Will she take it? Okays so . . . W

The Invitation-Oriah Mountain Dreamer

Good Day Bibliophiles! For as long as I can remember I have always been a little interested in the idea if meditating. The idea that I had the capability to really silence my mind for a few minutes, completely silence the hustle and bustle of life, background noise and everything in between.  I am happy to say that Oriah Mountain Dreamer has made this even the tiniest bit possible for me. A few months ago, when I was on my mission to silence my mind for a bit and truly relax even for a little bit, I searched and searched for the right way to do this. I searched on Youtube, asked around and finally took a look around to see if I could find any books. It took a while, it was difficulty to find a book that I could truly understand on this topic. Thankfully I came across a quote by this author in one of Oprah's books, I cant for the life of me remember which book , or what this particular quote was. . . clearly I am getting old 😉?.   Anyway I did some research and found

Oriah Mountain Dreamer💮

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.  Absolutely loving this book!!! Review soon to follow 🎕🎕🎕
